Compatible Film & TV is a BAFTA and RTS-nominated independent production company based in Scotland, dedicated to bringing unique and underrepresented stories to life through our productions.
To date, we have produced content for Netflix, NFTS & BBC Film and are developing longer form projects with Screen Scotland, BFI and more.
We produce both scripted and documentary content. We're passionate about collaborating with a wide range of exciting talent from across the UK, particularly Scotland, and platforming diverse voices in our work.
We make content that is inspired by real people and real stories, to entertain and engage audiences.
We are proudly trans non-binary led and will always champion LGBTQ+ voices.
Meet the Team
Producer & Managing Director
Isabella Bassett
BAFTA-nominated Producer, Isabella Bassett (they/ them) founded Compatible Film & TV in 2023.
With a background in new-writing theatre and live comedy producing, as well as TV development for BBC Studios, Isabella set up Compatible to create a vehicle for the stories and talent they want to see that currently aren't represented on screen.
In 2024 Isabella was selected as one of six promising LGBTQ+ filmmakers from across the UK on the BAFTA x BFI Flare mentorship scheme. Isabella studied producing at the National Film & Television School on the Sean Connery talent lab.
To date, Isabella has produced nine short films for the likes of Netflix, BBC Film and the BFI which have screened at prestigious film festivals around the World and garnered awards. In 2025, they were nominated for a BAFTA Scotland award for their documentary ‘Seeking’ directed by Ciara Flint for the Scottish Documentary Institute. In the same year, they won the audience pitch at Glasgow Film Festival Funny Features audience pitch and Compatible Film & TV was awarded the Scottish Young EDGE award recognising the company’s potential for growth.
Development Consultant
Caragh Davison
Caragh Davison (she/ her) is a Development Producer and Script Editor with a track record in supporting new and emerging Film & TV talent. She runs the Gatecrashers genre feature lab and recently worked as a Development Producer at My Accomplice and led The Darkroom writers lab. As a Script Editor she has worked on Film and TV projects in development with companies including The Bureau, Film 4, Joi Productions, Bosena, BK Studios, Lammas Park and BFI. She was an Exec Producer for the BMW Filmmaking challenge and has previously commissioned and EP'd a slate of short films that have screened at festivals including Sundance, SXSW, Iris Prize and LFF.
She worked at the BFI for five years across talent development and production and has extensive experience running talent labs for companies including BAFTA, LSA and ScreenSkills. She sits on the Nomination Committee for BIFA whilst also chairing the Shorts voting category and can often be found hosting panels at film festivals.
Wellbeing Assistant
Dram
Dram (he/ him) is a five year old working cocker spaniel and is also Compatible Film & TV's Wellbeing Assistant.
After beginning his career as a professional gun dog for Gleneagles in Perthshire, Dram has chosen to channel his enthusiasm and affection into providing comfort to cast & crew on Compatible's productions.
When he's not in the office looking for cuddles, Dram loves long walks and chasing birds.
