Isabella Bassett

Isabella Bassett is a creative Producer based in Glasgow and is founder of production company, Compatible Film & TV. Isabella began their producing career in theatre (including for new-writing company, A Play, a Pie and a Pint where they worked on over 90 new plays) before moving into film and television. Isabella has worked in development for BBC Studios where they secured 20 first-time commissions for new writers on BBC Scotland's flagship continuing drama 'River City'. They were selected for Short Circuit’s Producer Accelerator programme 2022, GMAC Little Pictures scheme, and they are a BAFTA Connect member. 

Isabella has produced four award-winning short films, including: ‘BEAR’ (2023, dir. Kate Hammer); ‘Car Sick’ (2023, dir. David Hayman Jr); ‘Do You Have Kids?’ (2023, dir. Tom Gentle) and a 30-minute theatrical film 'Play On' (2021, dir. Morag Fullarton & David Hayman).

Isabella set up Compatible Film & TV in 2023.

In 2024, Isabella was selected as a producer on the inaugural National Film & Television School Sean Connery talent lab, and also as one of six LGBTQ+ UK-based filmmakers on the BAFTA x BFI Flare mentorship scheme.
